Nestled inside the beautifully restored Historic 131 Building in downtown Carterville, Velvet Moon Events offers a one-of-a-kind setting where history, charm, and celebration come together. Our event space is housed within a 5,000-square-foot historic venue that is also home to Velvet Moon Coffee Shop and the soon-to-open 62 Social House, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere unlike any other in Southern Illinois.

Venue Rental Details
Velvet Moon Events is currently available for private rentals at $100 per hour.
During this time, guests are welcome to bring in their own catering or food to suit their event needs.
We are currently in a transition period as Hidden Kitchen prepares to open within the space. Once the restaurant is operational, food and catering options may change to reflect new offerings.
To honor early bookings, any reservations made prior to the restaurant opening will still be permitted to bring in outside food under the current rental policy.
